Fellowship/Study Groups

Monaghan provides a variety of opportunities outside of worship and church school to provide fellowship with our members and alternative settings for learning and growing.

Book Lovers’ Group

Meeting about once a month, this group looks at a variety of books and discusses their themes and messages. Information about the next group meeting is available in our weekly newsletter, along with contact information for the organizer.

Women’s Bible Study

Meeting about once a month, this group looks at biblical resources for a deeper exploration of scripture, as well as newer media offerings (television, movies) that reflect biblical themes and/or stories (for example, the “The Chosen” series).

“Banned” Book Club

A newer group of members who are taking an active interest in expanding their knowledge of literature that may be considered “too woke” or “inappropriate” for various educational and other settings. A member chooses a book and arranges meeting details each month, please contact the church office if you would like more information.

Youth Groups

There are a couple of options that are occasionally available for older elementary, middle, and high school students as schedules, attendance, and resources permit. Some past activities have included lock-ins at the church and cook-outs.
